Characteristics

The cortical bone is the outer surface of bone made up of hard inorganic matter with extremely high strength and density and an ability to preserve and support space. The cancellous bone has a highly porous, three-dimensional form with high strength to support the tissues inside the bone. Therefore, when transplanted, it serves as a scaffold and creates an optimum environment for the revascularization of blood vessels and the remodeling of bone, providing outstanding osteoconductive properties.
HealiOss is the product with an optimal mix of the advantages of these two types of bone, and it is useful for large lost portions or severe wounds. Furthermore, as a 100% allogenic bone graft material, it is highly biocompatible.
