The website operated by VETEREGEN (hereinafter referred to as ‘VETEREGEN’) establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act to protect the personal information of VETEREGEN users (hereinafter referred to as ‘users’ or ‘data subjects’) and to promptly and efficiently address any concerns related to this matter.
Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)
VETEREGEN processes personal information for the following purposes. The personal information processed will not be used for any purpose other than the purposes listed below. If the purpose of use is changed, necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act will be implemented.
① Membership Registration and Management
To confirm the intention to join, to provide membership services including identity verification and authentication, to maintain and manage membership status, and to prevent fraudulent use of services.
* The company does not allow registration for users under the age of 14.
② Provision of Goods or Services
To process personal information for the purposes of delivering goods, providing services, sending contracts and invoices, providing content, offering customized services, identity verification, age verification, billing and settlement, and debt collection.
③ Handling Complaints
To process personal information for verifying the identity of complainants, checking the details of complaints, contacting and notifying for fact investigations, and notifying the results of the processing.
Article 2 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)
① VETEREGEN processes and retains personal information within the period of retention and use in accordance with applicable laws or the period consented to by the user at the time of collection.
② The retention and processing periods for each type of personal information are as follows:
1. Membership Registration and Management: Until the user withdraws from membership.
However, in the following cases, the retention period will be extended until the reason is resolved:
1) If an investigation or inquiry is ongoing due to a violation of related laws, until the investigation is completed.
2) If there is a remaining debt or credit relationship due to the use of the website, until the settlement of such debt or credit.
2. Provision of Goods or Services: Until the supply of goods/services and settlement of charges are completed.
1) Records related to display, advertising, contract details, and performance, as per the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce:
- Display and advertising records: 6 months
- Records of contract or withdrawal of subscription, payment, and supply of goods: 5 years
- Records of consumer complaints or dispute resolutions: 3 years
2) Records under the Telecommunications Privacy Protection Act:
- Access location tracking data and other telecommunication data: 1 year
- Internet usage logs: 3 months
3. Surveys and Events: Until the completion of the respective survey or event.
Article 3 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
① VETEREGEN processes the user's personal information only within the scope specified in Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information). Personal information will only be provided to third parties in accordance with Article 17 and Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, including when the user has given consent or when required by special provisions in the law.
② Apart from the cases specified in Paragraph 1 of this Article, VETEREGEN does not provide personal information to third parties.

② VETEREGEN shall, when entering into a subcontract agreement, specify in the contract or other documents matters such as the prohibition of processing personal information beyond the purpose of the entrusted work, technical and managerial protective measures, restrictions on further subcontracting, management and supervision of the subcontractor, and responsibility for damages, in accordance with Article 26 of the Personal Information Protection Act. VETEREGEN also supervises whether the subcontractor processes personal information securely.
③ If there is a change in the content of the entrusted work or the subcontractor, it will be disclosed through this privacy policy without delay.
Article 5 (Rights, Duties, and Methods of Exercise by Users and Legal Representatives)
① Users have the right to access, correct, delete, or request the suspension of processing their personal information at any time regarding the company.
② In accordance with paragraph 1, rights can be exercised through written documents, email, or fax, as per Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act. VETEREGEN will take prompt action in response to such requests.
③ Rights as stated in paragraph 1 may be exercised through a legal representative or an authorized person with a power of attorney. In this case, a power of attorney form, as specified in Appendix 11 of the Notification on Personal Information Processing Methods (Notice No. 2020-7), must be submitted.

④ Requests for access or suspension of processing personal information may be restricted under Article 35(4) and Article 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.
⑤ Requests for correction or deletion of personal information cannot be made if the information is explicitly stated as required for collection by other laws.
⑥ VETEREGEN will verify whether the person making the request for access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing is the user or an authorized representative.
⑦ Users may always view or modify their personal information registered in the system, or request membership cancellation. To view or modify personal information, users can click on "Change Information" (or "Modify Profile"). To cancel membership (withdraw consent), users can click on "Delete Account," complete the identity verification process, and proceed with account deletion.
Article 6 (Personal Information Items Processed)
VETEREGEN processes the following personal information items:
① For website membership registration and management purposes
- Required items: Name, date of birth, email, phone number, password, veterinary license number, hospital name, email for issuing tax invoices, business registration number, Business Registration Certificate(Copy), delivery address
② Purpose of veterinary license verification and B2B membership authentication
- Required items: Name, date of birth, email, phone number, password, veterinary license number, hospital name, email for issuing tax invoices, business registration number, Business Registration Certificate(Copy), delivery address
③For product and prize delivery purposes
- Required items: Basic delivery address, contact information, recipient's name, phone number, mobile number, delivery address
④ For contract fulfillment contact, guidance notifications, and debt collection purposes
- Required items: Address, email, name, date of birth, mobile number
⑤ For service sales information provision, promotional activities (including points, coupons, special offers, promotional benefits, and advertisements)
- Optional items: Contact information, SMS receipt preference, email, email receipt preference, name, date of birth, gender, postal code
⑥ For customer consultations, complaint reception, and processing result notifications

⑦ For issuing cash receipts and tax invoices

Article 7 (Destruction of Personal Information)
① VETEREGEN shall promptly destroy personal information once the retention period has expired, the processing purpose has been achieved, or the information is deemed unnecessary.
② If personal information must be retained beyond the agreed retention period due to other legal requirements, it will be transferred to a separate database (DB) or stored in a different location.
③ The procedures and methods for destroying personal information are as follows:
1. Destruction Procedure
VETEREGEN selects personal information that requires destruction and proceeds with the process upon approval from the personal information protection officer.
2. Destruction Method
Personal information stored in electronic files is permanently deleted in a way that prevents recovery. Personal information recorded or stored on paper is shredded or incinerated.
Article 8 (Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information)
VETEREGEN takes the following technical measures to prevent loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage of personal information:
① Personal information is protected by passwords. Additionally, important data is secured using encryption, file lock features, and other security mechanisms.
② VETEREGEN utilizes antivirus software to prevent damages caused by computer viruses. The antivirus software is regularly updated, and in case of sudden virus outbreaks, the latest antivirus measures are promptly applied to prevent personal information breaches.
Article 9 (Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Automated Personal Information Collection Devices)
① VETEREGEN uses "cookies" to store and retrieve user information to provide customized services.
② A cookie is a small amount of data sent by a web server to a user's web browser, which may be stored on the user's hard drive.
1. Purpose of Cookie Usage: Cookies are used to analyze the user's website visits, usage patterns, popular search terms, and security access status to provide optimized information to users.
2. Cookie Installation, Operation, and Refusal
Users have the option to allow or refuse cookie storage. Cookie settings can be adjusted as follows:

Article 11 (Request for Access to Personal Information and Customer Service)
① Data subjects may request access to their personal information in accordance with Article 35 of the Personal Information Protection Act, and VETEREGEN will make every effort to process such requests promptly.

Article 13 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
① This privacy policy takes effect from October 00, 2024.
